Draws points from a coordinates file.

The coordinates file must contain in order the next data fields: point name (point number), N and E coordinations or E and N, point elevation (Z coordinate) and point code (description). The splitting character can be: space (one or more), comma, point and comma or tab.

The point codes can be simple or composed, and the character that divides a composed code can be the “-“ character or space.

The point elevations (Z coordinate) are taken in consideration only if they contain the decimal character “.”. In the case in which the elevations don’t contains this character then they are taken in consideration as being codes.

The points are loaded directly from the coordinates file only if a file with the extension .coo exists with the same name and on the same path as the current .dwg drawing.

Buttons

With the button [Choose file] a coordinates file can be selected to be loaded in the coordinates table of the points

The button [Add file] can be used to add at the end of the coordinates table data from a selected file.

The button [Delete all] cleans the entire coordinates table.

Contextual menu

The contextual menu appears with the right click of the mouse on the coordinates table. This menu allows you to perform the following tasks: export table in Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel, search and replace texts, renumber points, reverse columns from north to east, delete, cut, copy and paste, etc..

Point text with

Chooses the point text that will be drawn: name (point number), elevation (text with the Z coordinate), name and elevation, name and point code or elevation and point code.

Point options

For point drawing you can choose if the text of the points is to be drawn or not, you can choose the font, text height, longitudinal scale factor of the text, angle of writing expressed in centesimal degrees with the origin to the N and in the orientation of the clock needles, the diameter of the point and if the marking line is drawn or not.

Options

The options for the drawing of the points can be:
  1. Eliminate the common points. The points that are at a smaller distance than the tolerance between points are eliminated from the table.
  2. Arrange points. If this option is used a arrangement of the points from the table will be made after the point number. The point names that contain letter in front will be put first.
  3. Verifies the points with the same name. In the case in which in the table there are points with the same name the rows where this points were found will be signaled.
  4. The optimization of the superposed texts. The optimization is made by rotating the texts around the points so that between the point text not to exist superposition. The text points for which there wasn’t found free space will not be drawn. The order in which the points are optimized is given by the degree of importance of the point code. The information referring to this aspect is represented in the section Code file description.

Note: The point blocks and texts are drawn on a single layer defined in the layer file using the command ProfCfg - Files Tab. If there isn’t an allocated layer for points then the entities will be drawn on the current layer.
