It splits in two the longitudinal profile.

The point in which the splitting is done must contain a point in case you are working with 2D polylines with points or it can be without point in the case of 3D polyline.

If the longitudinal profiles newly created have cross profiles connected then these cross profiles will be connected corresponding to the longitudinal profiles. If in the splitting point exists defined the cross profile then this cross profile will be connected on both sides of the longitudinal profile.
