join images

TopoLT » Images » Join images
Using this command you can join two or more images from
drawing. To join select reference image and images that will be added to that.
Through reference image it is settled:
-
color depth at which the added images will be bring to;
-
scale in pixels at which the added images will be bring to
respecting positions in coordinates and the aspect of these images.
Reference image is accepted only as an image without aspect
deformations on dimensions or on angles. If this is deformed or flipped
(mirrored) a warning message is posted and the selected image will be modified
by eliminating its deformations. Rotated images are accepted as reference
images.
Images that will be added to reference image can have
deformations, rotations or can be flipped (mirrored).
Note: To obtain a deformed image on dimensions you
can use the following steps: create a block with an image entity inside, insert
that block in drawing, scale differently on X an Y after which explode the
block. In this way you have an image deformed differently on width and height.
To obtain an image deformed also on angles introduce in the new created block a
rotated image after which scale differently on X and Y and then explode the
block.
After selecting the images thumbnails will be loaded in
order to make preview.
Joining images
You can eliminate images from joining by deselecting them
from list. Reference image can not be eliminated.
Options that can be made for each image are described below
at "Overlapping general options".
Overlapping general
options
Interpolation quality is available only for
colored images and through this you can establish the interpolation mode at
scaling and rotations for images that are added. Algorithm for interpolation
can be: Nearest Neighbor (low quality level), Bilinear (medium quality level)
or Bicubic (high quality level). Time of processing depends on the chosen
interpolation method, so that for Nearest Neighbor method processing is
realized faster than for Bicubic method.
Images transparency can be used for all
images as for each image. Transparency is given by a color for which at the
overlapping of the respective image it is considered that this color is
transparent. Initially this color is taken from image as being the pixel's
color from the lower left corner. Transparency color for each image can be
changed choosing a color from palette and reducing it to the color depth of the
respective image or choosing a color of a pixel from thumbnail image.
Use only subregions (ImageClip)
for all images. At joining you can use from image only subregion defined with
ImageClip. This option can be chosen for all images or it can be chosen for
each image.
Draw boundary clip
(ImageClip) for all images. If at joining is chosen to be put only
subregion than you can choose if you draw or not the subregion boundary.
Drawing is made with lines that have one pixel width and with the color from
drawing of the entity image.
If none of the images has defined a clipping boundary then
the options for using subregions and for drawing subregions boundary are
closed.
Drawing at preview of
images' borders is useful to visualize images position. Lines with images'
borders are not drew in the image that will result after joining.
Deleting attached
images. Selecting this option will erase from drawing image entities that
have been attached to the reference image.
Resulted image
Color depth is identical with that of the reference image.
Dimension in pixels depends on the chosen options, the
position in coordinates of the images and on the reference image scale. When
joining images take care of these factors to avoid creating images with very
large dimensions. You can block program execution for computers with
insufficient memory or execution will last very long time.
Size of the file that will result is approximated between a
minimum and a maximum. There can not be calculated exactly for encoded images
just after making the encoding.
Using command Uimg can do return
to previous images.
Initial images are saved in files with extension .bk1, .bk2,
etc. when they are modified. Files with extension .bk1, .bk2, etc. are used for
returning to initial images using command Uimg. Deleting
these file will be done manually only after images transformation process ends.
Note: Color tif files are not saved with compression
LZW that is why we recommend using Windows programs to compress them.
