JoinM3D

        Command line: JoinM3D

            Description: join 3D models

        TopoLT toolbar:

            Menu: TopoLT » 3D Model » Join 3D models

With this command you can join two 3D models. The join of these is realized only by linear interpolation. In the case of the models that overlap common side is eliminated and join is made in this area. In the case of models that have a common line join is made through the two limits average on Z height.

3D models accepted for join can be entities of type: 3DFace, PolygonMesh or PolyFaceMesh.

3D model resulted through the join of the two models will always be an entity of type PolyFaceMesh.

In case there are used 3D models of grid type it is better to use 3D model format composed by triangles and rectangles. This setting can be realized with command TopoCfg section 3D Model. by using this option there will be created rectangles in the resulted model where ever it is possible.

For this command there are not accepted closed 3D models such as by instance a sphere or models that have overlapping 3D faces.
