JoinPct
Command
line: JoinPct
Description:
join points
by code
TopoLT
toolbar:![]()
Menu:
By using this command you can join points by them codes.
For a proper functioning of this command it is recommended
to use the next attributes for points code while measuring:
START – a linear graphical entity begins here. Drawing of a
linear entity (polyline with or without arches) begins from this attribute of a
code until the appearance of an END attribute or of another START for the points with the
same code;
END – polyline ends here;
CLOSE – polyline ends here and it is closed;
STARC – an arch begins here and program will continue searching
points with the same description code until ENDARC. If there is found more than a point
between STARC and ENDARC then, to generate arch, only the first point after STARC will be considered, the
rest will be ignored. If after STARC, ENDARC follows directly, then it is considered
to be a line. If after STARC, ENDARC isn’t found then STARC attribute is ignored. If points are co-linear
then it is considered a line and the middle point are eliminated;
ENDARC – the end of an arch;
ONCIRCLE – point is on a circle. In this case program
looks for groups of 3 points with the same description code, in the order from
coordinates list and a circle is generated. Points doesn’t have to be
consecutive in coordinates list. If points are co-linear or at least two are
identical then it can’t be calculated a circle through these points. This
attribute doesn’t depend on the rest of the attributes, it is treated
independently.
There are accepted the next combinations for these
attributes:
START-STARC which means that from here begins polyline with an arch;
END-CLOSE is reduced to CLOSE;
END-ENDARC here end polyline and arch defined before;
ENDARC-CLOSE arch ends here and polyline is closed with a
line.
Example of using these attributes for points codes:
101 10367.652
49661.963 0.000 BUILD-START
102 10399.829
49377.894 0.000 ONCIRCLE-11
103 10367.057
49701.009 0.000 BUILD
104 10351.362
49700.76a8 0.000 BUILD
105 10361.073
49478.839 0.000 PISC-START-STARC
106 10393.480
49363.951 0.000 ONCIRCLE-11
107 10351.957
49661.723 0.000 BUILD-END
108 10385.204
49377.827 0.000 ONCIRCLE-11
109 10395.694
49463.948 0.000 PISC
110 10362.629
49446.707 0.000 PISC-ENDARC-CLOSE
If the code that describes point is not introduced, for
example instead of BUILD-START is introduced only START then this point is ignored. To join points
there has to be minimum one code that describes point. Don’t use START, END, STARC, ENDARC, ONCIRCLE without introducing the
code that describes what point represents. Introduce code that describes point
and then another code that will be considered attribute for joining, for
example code can be 22-START where 22
is the code that describes the point and START is this code’s attribute for joining.
You can introduce these attributes in any position form
subcodes list, for example this code is accepted: START-PISC-STARC in which PISC is point description
code.
These attributes can be written on short too, for example
there are already defined in codes interpretation file TopoLT.cod
STA = START or
90 = START, etc.
To edit codes interpretation file where you can define
allocations for these attributes use command EditCod.
Searching for these attributes is made also for the
introduced code as for interpreted code.
After points selection you can choose if points that don’t
have START attribute defined will
be also interpreted. This option is useful in case you have points measured
without attributes and you want to try their joining. Generally points measured
in groups of 2-3 points with the same code will be joined correctly but there
is possible to appear joining error because attributes START and END had not been defined
clear for a polyline.
The operations order for joining points by code:
1.
Selected points are ordered by them number. This ordering is made
because it is considered that for a new job points have been measured in
ascending order. From this reason do not select points in a certain way because
the order is given by point’s number. You can select points from a part of the
drawing and try to join them in case you do not have defined attributes with START;
2.
Points that are punctiforme symbols defined in codes
interpretation file are identified and eliminated;
3.
Points that have point description code (defined linear or not)
and code attribute are identified. If point has more description codes first
code which is different from these attributes is considered. For example, if
there is a point with multiple code 11-22-START it is considered 11 and for a code as START-22-11 it is considered 22;
4.
Points that don’t have point description code are eliminated;
5.
It is done the analysis for points with attribute ONCIRCLE looking for 3 points
with the same description code in the list of coordinates and circles are
drawn.
6.
It is done the analysis for points that have code START. There are identified
from points list points that have this attribute and then there are looked for
in order, beginning from point with attribute START, points with the same
description code until one of the attributes END, CLOSE or another START is found, or until the last point from list. It
is identified if there are circle arches accordingly to attributes STARC, ENDARC and then the obtained
polylines are drawn;
7.
If user also wants interpretation for points that do not have
attribute START for the beginning of linear entities, an analysis for the rest of
the remaining points will be done and polylines will be drawn. In these points
case searching is made only for the next point that has to have the same code.
If another code is found then it is considered as a new beginning for a
polyline. Attributes END, CLOSE, STARC, ENDARC and their combinations are accepted;
8.
It is done the interpretation of drawn entities accordingly to
points codes and line style and polyline width are changed as codes
interpretation file commands.
Polilynes and circles are drawn on current layer.
For a better understanding how this command functions read
example number 9 from folder "C:\Program Files\TopoLT\Example" file
"9_JoinPointByCodes.dwg". Analyze the point's order from coordinates
file "9_JoinPointByCodes.coo" and how codes and codes attributes are
defined. For this example use codes interpretation file initially installed
-TopoLT.cod.
