ResImg

        Command line: ResImg

            Description: resize image

        TopoLT toolbar:

Menu: TopoLT » Images » Resize image

Using this command you can resize an image so that to change size in pixels on horizontal and on vertical dimensions.

The selected image can be deformed, rotated or flipped (mirrored).

Image size

Sizes can be changes either putting scaling factor in percents or putting the new sizes in pixels directly.

Resizing options

Interpolation quality is available only for colored images and through this you can establish the interpolation mode at image scaling. Algorithm for interpolation can be: Nearest Neighbor (low quality level), Bilinear (medium quality level) or Bicubic (high quality level). Time of processing depends on the chosen interpolation method, so that for Nearest Neighbor method processing is realized faster than for Bicubic method.

Keep aspect ratio (without deformations). Through this setting scaling is made constantly on the two directions horizontal and vertical.

Keep position in coordinates. Through this setting resized image will be put in the drawing in such way that the position and sizes in coordinates of the initial image to be kept. If the initial image does not have aspect deformations on sizes then the new image will not have deformations.

Using command Uimg can do return to previous images.

Initial images are saved in files with extension .bk1, .bk2, etc. when they are modified. Files with extension .bk1, .bk2, etc. are used for returning to initial images using command Uimg. Deleting these file will be done manually only after images transformation process ends.

Note: Color tif files are not saved with compression LZW that is why we recommend you to use Windows programs to compress them.
