By using this window you can take from the EPSG database the following data:
- the parameters of a 2D or 3D transformation;
- parameters and coefficients of a polynomial transformation;
- the parameters used for general offsets;
- data regarding the application of the correction from the grid file.
In the case of a 2D or 3D transformation the taken parameters are adjusted so that they correspond to the calculation mode from TransLT. Information on how the parameters are interpreted in some cases can be found at Accessing the EPSG database.
Identified Coordinate Operations
It shows in a tabular manner an inventory of the operations with coordinates as a result of an interrogation in the EPSG database on the base of a filter comprising one or more criteria. The text of the criteria (the field Method Type is an exception) will be used as whole or part of the whole for interrogating the records of the database. Therefore an interrogation according the area of use using the characters oman will return records from Romania and also from Oman.
-
The criteria that can be used for filtration are the following:
- Area of use: name of the area (English orthography) where the coordinates operation is used. This can be the country name or, in case of coordinates operation from USA, Canada or Australia the name of the state / province / territory;
- Method Type:
- Polynomial transformation;
- Transformation (2D and 3D);
- Transformation 2D;
- Transformation 3D;
- Offset with grid file;
- General offset.
- Method Code: the unique identification code of the method;
- Operation Name;
- Operation Code: unique code for identification of a CooOp in the EPSG database.
- Source CRS Code: unique code for identification of a CRS in the EPSG database.
- Target CRS Code: unique code for identification of a CRS in the EPSG database.
Keep the filter
If this option is checked, the filter with the latest filter values used is applied at the next opening of this window.
Button Search ...
Search the fields in the database according to the filters you entered. Search can also be done by pressing the [Enter] key after entering a value.
Favorites Coordinates Operations List
It shows the list of operations with coordinates previously defined by the user as being favorite.
Button Add
It adds the selected operation in the list of favorites.
Button Remove
It deletes the selected operation from the list of favorites.
Button Clear
It deletes all the operations from the list of favorites.
Description of the selected Coordinates Operation
It shows detailed information referring to the selected operation.
Use operation
It allows the selection of the direction in which the operation will be used: forward or inverse. The direction is possible only if the operation is reversible. In this case for 2D or 3D transformations the parameters will be reversed and for: polynomial transformations, general offsets and transformation with grid files the direction will be marked as being reverse.
