Automatically creates cross profiles connected to a longitudinal profile.

When using this command the user is asked to select the longitudinal profile, input start number for cross profile numbering, left side distance from the axis, right side distance from the axis and point searching distance from the line.

In each vertex of the polyline of longitudinal profile the bisecting line is calculated using the adjacent lines to obtain the direction line from where the right and left side distance to be applied. Using this line and the two distances a rectangle is formed to obtain the area in witch the points are searched. Points that have codes defined in the list from section ProfCfg – General Tab – Automations and points that have identification codes of objects defined in ProfCfg – Longitudinal Profiles – Objects will be left out.

The identified points are put in order from left to right in the construction direction of longitudinal profile after their projection on the section line.

One of the advantages of this command is the fact that the points from coordinates file don’t need to be ordered from one end to another of the cross profile. The ordering is made automatically. For this reason there is no need for measuring the points in the field in a specific order.

Points will be joined with 2D or 3D polyline accordingly to the selection of the 3D plan Option from ProfCfg – General Tab – Plan Description.

Attention: If there are point blocks in the drawing then watch out the name of the block defined in ProfCfg – General Tab – Point Identification to be identical with the name of the inserted blocks.
