Creates a longitudinal profile by selecting a 2D polyline with points in all vertexes of a 3D polyline or a line from which the points in the longitudinal profile will be searched. There are accepted 2D polylines with circle arcs, of which elevations are calculated from the points that define the arc (the points from the heads of the arc or , if exist, the points on the arc).

When you are working with points, the points will be searched in all the vertexes of the polyline and for the polylines with arcs the points on the arcs will be searched.

When searching for the allocated points of a polyline the points with the identification code of the objects defined at ProfCfg - Longitudinal Profile Tab - Objects will be left out.

In the case of selecting a line, it will be requested the distance from the line for searching points, the points found will be ordered on the direction of the line. When searching for points from the line will be left out the points with the identification code of the objects defined at ProfCfg - Longitudinal Profile Tab - Objects.

When introducing the profile it asks to introduce the number of the longitudinal profile, of the start attribute for the distance (Km/m or mile/feet), if the profile is projected of the axe from the heads and if the profile is completed with objects. In order not to make a confusion with the cross profiles we recommend to use for the longitudinal profiles the numerotation PL1, PL2 etc.

If it is chosen that the longitudinal profile to be projected on the ax between the heads then the longitudinal profile will be a linear section defined by the head points of the polyline. In this case the polyline points of the longitudinal profile are projected on the section line.

The completion of the profile for the objects must be used only in the case in which in the profile objects are defined. The objects are identified by the defined code in the configuration ProfCfg - Longitudinal Profile Tab - Objects.

This command can be used to change the parameters of a existing longitudinal profile.
