Options referring to the representation and drawing mode of the cross profiles.

Cross profiles scale

Length scale

It sets the scale of the lengths used when drawing the tables for cross profiles.

Elevation scale

It sets the scale of the elevations used when drawing the tables for the cross profiles.

Table header

Font

It selects the font used when writing the texts from the table header.

Table header language

It selects the language in which the table header will be written.

Longitudinal profile name

The name associated to the longitudinal profile.

Table header width

It sets the dimension of the table header

Color of profile name and number

It selects the text color for the name and number of the profile.

Draw distance attribute (km/miles) beside profile number

It draws the text with the distance attribute (kilometers/miles) beside the number of the profiles, option available only for the cross profiles connected to a longitudinal profile.

Table data

Font

It selects the font used when writing information in the table.

Text height for rows with calculated data

The height for the drawn texts with commands CalcZ and CalcDCL for cross profiles.

Text width for rows with calculated data

The width for the drawn texts with commands CalcZ and CalcDCL for cross profiles.

Number of decimals for elevations

It sets the number of decimals used when writing the elevations.

Number of decimals for distances

It sets the number of decimals used when writing the distances.

Avoid the overlapping of texts for the rows with vertically written texts

The texts of the following rows: point number, point type, existing heights, cumulated distances, cumulated slope distances, cumulated distances between objects and heights of platform drawn with CalcZ command can be moved to the left or to the right to avoid overlapping when points are close. Overlapping depends on the distance between points, the profile scale factor of length and the text height. The way to avoid the overlapping is by dispersing the group of overlapped texts starting from the center of it in the limit of the available space to the left and right.

Fit texts to row

In the case that the texts do not fit in the allocated row the longitudinal text scale factor is shirked. If the scale factor drops below the 0.5 value then the text scaling is not applied.

Avoid drawing lines and texts for points at a distance less than:

By using this option you can choose a minimum distance between the profile points for which you will avoid drawing vertical lines and row texts. This option is useful for removing overlapping text from areas where the points are too close.

For the cross profiles that are connected to a longitudinal profile, the starting origin may be chosen from the connection point (axis). The distances are checked from this point to the left and to the right.

Partial distances on the left side of the connection point (axis) are negative

The partial distances calculated for the points that are on the left side of the connection point (from the axis defined by the longitudinal profile) will be put in the table with negative values.

Note: This option is available only for the cross profiles connected to a longitudinal profile.

Cumulated distance is applied from connection point (ax)

The cumulated distance origin can be moved from the first point of the profile in the connection point (the ax defined by the longitudinal profile). In this case the cumulated distances will be calculated on the left and on the right starting from the origin. If this option is used when the cumulated distance are chosen on the left of the table will be put the negative values.

Note: This option is available only for the cross profiles connected to a longitudinal profile.

Draw points codes above reference line

It draws the text for the codes of the points that define the profile over the reference line. This option is useful in order to identify through which points the profile was made.

Cross profiles arrangement options

Number of columns

It sets the number of columns in which the page is split. For the value 1 it will be taken in consideration the whole page.

Number of rows

It sets the number of rows in which the page is split. For the value 0 it will not be taken in account the splitting in rows of the page.

Vertical profile distance

It sets how much free space will be let vertically between profiles when drawing them in page or when quick drawing them. When arranging in page half of this distance is used to let a space between the profile and the top and bottom margins of the border.

Horizontal profile distance

When arranging in page half of this distance is used to let a space between the profile and the left and right margins of the border and to let a space between the vertical line that defines a column and a profile.

Profile alignment

It selects the type of alignment of the profiles: to the left, to the right, centered or centered on the connection point. The centering on the connection point is available only in the case of cross connected profiles. In the case of center aligning for calculating the center point it will not be taken in consideration the width of the table header.

Create fixed length profiles

It creates cross profiles of a certain length. In the specified length the width of the table header is include. In the case in which the length of the profile is smaller than that specified then the profile margins are extended; and in the case that it is bigger the profile is cut.

Cut profile if length is bigger than

It cuts a profile if it’s length exceeds a certain value. In the specified length is also included the width of the table header. In the case of the unconnected profiles the cutting is done in a equal mode for both parts, and in the case of the connected ones firstly the connection point is positioned on the center of the profile which the cutting on both sides is made.

Types of used lines

Line type for profile polyline in plan

It sets the type of line used to represent in the situation plan of the cross sections. This type of line is used in the block with the cross profile tag to mark the section line.

Line type and color for profile section line

It sets the type of line and color used to represent the section lines of the cross profile.

Line type and color for profile connection point

It sets the type of line and color used to represent the line from the connection point for a cross profile connected to a longitudinal profile. This parameters are useful to identify the ax point from the cross profile.

Plane labels

Font

It selects the font used to white the labels of the cross profiles.

Text height

It sets the height of the text used to write the labels for the cross profiles.

Longitudinal text scale factor

It sets the longitudinal scale factor of the text used to write the cross profile labels.

Draw distance attributes (kilometers / miles)

It draws the distance attribute (kilometers/miles) near the number of the cross profile for the cross profiles connected to a longitudinal profile.

Select rows for cross profiles

It selects the rows that will be contained in the cross profile table. For each row there can be defined: the height of the row, text height of the table header, longitudinal scale factor of the table header text, text height for the table data and the longitudinal text scale factor the table data. The height of the row and of the texts will be introduced in mm for the metric measurement system and in inch for the english measurement system. When selecting a row the ones which the program will complete the data with the calculated information are marked with black, and the additional rows that are not completed by the program and which the user will complete afterward are with blue.

The list of allocated rows is extracted from the file defined in the Files Tab - Used Files – Profile table rows file name.
