Description: Receive coordinates from total station

Menu: TopoLT » Instrument » Receive coordinates

By using this command you can draw point with coordinates N,E,Z (X,Y,Z) received through serial port (COM1, COM2, etc.) from an instrument (total station, field book, PocketPC, etc.).

Communication parameters on serial port will be set in such way that to correspond to parameters set in instrument.

For instruments that are not defined in instruments list you can realize by yourself reception and transmission format. You can find description of the way you can introduce a new instrument at Configuration - Instrument.

To receive points coordinates from an instrument follow the next steps:

1. connect instrument to computer on serial port;

2. select from instruments list proper instrument;

3. set the same parameters for serial communication;

4. press button [Receive];

5. using instrument menu move to data sending mode to PC. While points are received they will be written in table;

6. after coordinates receiving press button [Stop receiving].

After finishing receiving points that are written in table can be drawn. You can find description for points drawing mode at command RapPct.
