TopoLT » Coordinates » Draw points
With this command you can draw points taken from coordinates
files or received from an instrument (total station, electronic theodolite,
field book, PocketPC, etc.). Description of coordinates receiving way through
serial port you can find at command RxCoo.
Coordinates file can be:
-
normal coordinates file that contains, in this order, point’s name
(point’s number), coordinates N and E or E and N, point’s elevation and point’s
code (description). Structure of coordinates’ file is described in Coordinates file
description;
-
file with format .csv that has split character (;) and contains
the same fields as normal coordinates file;
-
file with specific format for total stations or with user defined
format. User using program configuration command TopoCfg section Instruments can supplement these formats.
Points imported from a file or instrument are written in
coordinates table. Coordinates table can be completed or by adding a file or by
a new import of coordinates through instrument serial port or by typing. When
drawing user can eliminate certain points from table.
To find a point (ID) position in table put mouse cursor on
first column. To find translated code of a point, only in case codes
translation file is used, put mouse cursor on last column.
Configuration of points’ draw is taken over accordingly to
program’s configuration described in TopoCfg and can
be changed. Changing configuration when you draw points will be made for
program too, exactly the same way you reconfigure with command TopoCfg. Changes about putting in scale drawing
elements won’t be made unless applying command TopoCfg.
Before drawing points, you can do the following operations
in coordinates’ file:
-
eliminate common points placed at a smaller distance than minimum
distance accepted between points;
-
order points by name (number), this will be made first for points
containing alphabetical characters and then numerals;
-
checking points with the same name;
-
optimization of points texts so that these won’t overlap.
When program checks points with the same name if it finds in
table such points then drawing will be interrupted and you will notified
through a message. In this case, you can change one point name manually, after
which drawing can continue.
Points’ text optimization will be done only for overlaps
between points’ text, without considering the others entities from drawing. It
is considered that this command is given at the beginning of drawing and texts
optimization relative to all the elements from drawing is done in the end, when
the drawing is finished, and can be realized with command OptPct. One of the reasons, for which, at
this function, the rest of entities from drawing do not count in optimization,
is shorting time.
Texts with no free space will be passed on layer of
overlapped texts.
In case you do not want to optimize texts, points will be
written in the right side of point (node).
Points’ codes can be interpreted or not and if you want to
interpret them then you can choose a codes interpretation file.
Overwriting checking is made when points are inserted in
drawing.
