Displays the window used to create a new coordinate operation or to edit the properties of an existing one. When editing the properties of an existing coordinate operation, if the operation belongs to a locked transformation model, it is not possible to change the operation.
The coordinate operation is used to transform the coordinates from a system to another.
Description
Coordinate operation name
Introduce the name of the coordinate operation.
Coordinates operation method name
Introduce the name of the calculation method used by the coordinate operation, an informative text to recognize the method.
EPSG Operation Code
Introduce the operation code to identify the coordinate operation in the EPSG database, informative value.
Transformation type
-
Each coordinate operation represents an operation with the values of the coordinate
whose type and parameters are defined in one of the following tabs:
- Coordinates conversion;
- Transformation with parameters;
- Polynomial transformation;
- Offset by grid files;
- Offset;
- Own formulas.
It retrieves the elevation (altitude) from the initial system of the transformation model
By using this option, the input elevation in this operation with coordinates is retrieved from the initial coordinates while ignoring the value calculated until it. In this case the model supports the calculation in reverse only if its previous operations are defined in 2D domain.
The calculated elevation (altitude) becomes the final elevation of the transformation model
By using this option, the calculated elevation becomes the final elevation calculated by the transformation model. The last elevation calculated by the last operation with coordinates is changed in the end by the elevation calculated by this operation with coordinates. In this case the model supports the calculation in reverse only if its posterior operations are defined in 2D domain.
Note: When adding a new coordinate operation the user must verify if the input coordinate system corresponds to the output coordinate system of the previous coordinate operation. When doing the first coordinate operation check if the input coordinate system corresponds to the initial coordinate system of the model. Also check if the output coordinate system from the last coordinate operation corresponds to the final coordinate system of the model. The correctness is checked when coordinates are calculated or when you choose the command Check model validity from the contextual menu that appears by clicking the right mouse button on the transformation models list.
