Point’s coordinates can be introduced numerical or graphical by pointing in drawing. Points’ coordinates will be fixed at decimals so that to assure decimals’ number allocated to configure section Units.

The new introduced code (description) is relative to the code of the introduced graphical point when you configured section Points.

When you graphically introduce a point, entities (lines, polylines, arcs, blocks) that are passing near point at a smaller distance than the minimum distance between points (accordingly to the configuration of section Points) will be either fixed into point or cut and dragged into the point. When a line passes near the point then the line will be broken in two parts. When a polyline passes near the point then a new Vertex will be inserted in the polyline. When an arc passes near the point then this will be fixed by a slight modify of both radius and center's position so that the arc to pass through point and to keep arc’s margins in the same values of coordinates.

In case you work with elevations, if when you introduce a points it’s coordinates contain Z elevation different from 0.000 then the elevation of introduced point will have this elevation. If Z elevation is 0.000 then you will be notified to introduce elevation manually.

When checking points overwriting (accordingly to the configuration of section Points) if a point is inserted over another one already existing in drawing you will be asked to confirm point replacing, unreplacing (point won’t be inserted) or overwriting (the new point will be written over the old one without replacing it.
